About the message deletion...

The world keeps changing so fast I can't keep up. The forum has been moved yet again, from https://digitalocean.com to https://1984.hosting, for many reasons.

Personal messages are going to be permanently deleted on May 1st, 2026. As for why - I don't feel comfortable storing your personal messages.

Back when I made the forum, I made the system the way everyone else was making a chat application - everyone's messages are stored in a centralized database, and are visible to the administrator of the site. I didn't feel comfortable with seeing all of them, so I put some basic obfuscation so I couldn't see them at a glance. But of course with enough effort I could.

Nowadays I believe personal messaging apps/services must be end-to-end encrypted. I don't even know why we as a society got comfortable sharing all of our personal lives with the illusion that what we send is private.

I would make a serious advice to anyone who's reading this. Distance yourself from communication apps that don't use end-to-end encryption. In-fact, even ones that claim to have it must be trustworthy too, since they could have a bad implementation or a backdoor. Look into self-hosting and/or open-source alternatives. I use Element (Matrix):

https://element.io (the application)
https://matrix.org (the standard)

Changes to the forum

In the spirit of reducing personal information and attack vectors, the forum has been stripped of a lot of its previous functionality:

- Registration is disabled - The old https://3drad.boards.net forum has been reopened if you need to post something 3D Rad related.
- Friends have been stripped - All friends-connections on the forum have been deleted.
- Livechat has been removed
- Profile has been stripped of account status, birthdate and social media links
- Report tool has been removed - If you have any issues, please mail at support@classdev.net.
- Premium features have been stripped

The forum will keep its public content untouched for the time-being. I plan to preserve it for as long as possible.
