https://youtu.be/iKWO9LPzFEI Hi about a week ago I was trying to learn unity. This is how far I got. The character was made in blender but his shorts got lost somewhere when I exported fbx. Anyways the hard drive I installed unity to, crashed shortly after this. Cyclic redundancy error......so I didnt install unity 2017 again......:( https://youtu.be/bAKYMtfgc-Q Then I tried doing a realistic house rendering, but my knowledge of shaders and camera effects and rendering is quite limited.....:(

The transition from 3D Rad to Unity will be weird. Give it a couple of weeks/months and you'll get used to it.

Thanks Power Supersports. I like that you can just drop scripts on different objects and just reassign things like rigid bodies and then its ready to use in game. But the scripting is weird. C# is weird.

I'd say it's the opposite. AngelScript is weird after I learned how proper object oriented programming works. C# is actually a pretty nice and secure language. Again, once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine Also, one of the best things you can do in Unity and not in 3D Rad is that you can create objects runtime. You are not limited to the ones you add beforehand. The list of benefits is endless anyway, so I'll just say good move.

Well yes, Unity can get really REALLY confusing when starting off. I remember I once installed it because we were joking around with friends about how much crap was made on it, and so once I went to take a look at it (was still using Scratch at the time), and I thought that it was just garbage, uninstalled it. (I didn't actually watch any tutorials or anything, was just joking around with friends after all). A few years later I did come back, checked it out, and it has been almost 3 years, and it still sometimes confuses the shit out of me lmao. But you will probably get used to it, as you try to make more and more projects, you will get the hang of it, just like you did with 3DRad, maybe.

very curious to see what you can pull off with this new technology as i've seen you're a very competent modeler and the premise of your games is usually very ambitious, so to be able to give proper support to these things might have some great implications if you can get the gist of it

Thanks guys. I will probably be doing my unfinished projects with unity, once I get another version , or another hard drive. Story of Kennuck and Planet of the invaders might be done in unity. Since I have to start over. That hard drive that crashed killed 140 gbs of personal 3ds max work. So yeah, im rebuilding, but this time with Blender. Call it fate or the cosmos, but yeah, thats where im at now. I did manage to backup Caged Photon and Zeroxgen, but it wasnt all of the finished files. But yeah.....
