PS showing all personal profile info by default isn't very secure including a users email.....
We as the user should be given that choice, but not forced to edit our profile day one to hide sensitive profile info we don't want to share.

Hide it by default first then we can change as needed.

Issue number 2 -
the shoutbox has no indicator  for maximum length of input..
I was entering a long comment, which the shoutbox allowed, until i pressed enter then my long comment was gone and an error box showed up.

I pretty much expected a warning of some sort if i exceeded the limit, but i didn't get one.. so i basically wasted a noticeable amount of time and lost the content of that message too.

Will definetly take a look at the privacy issue you pointed out in the upcoming patches.
Shoutbox should definetly warn you before it says that, it's my mistake, I forgot to modify the script to not delete your message if there's a problem. Will definetly look into it for the next patch

Something else to probably change is the mystery settings button at the top of the thread page, the one I have attached. Is this for the administration / moderator tools that we aren't meant to see? If it is, maybe you should hide it from regular members, or put something in there.

It was supposed to be a quick shortcut for thread settings, but I didn't have time to implement that before the stream. Will try and fix it as soon as possible.

TinSoldier I would have to agree on that. Most people neglect their settings upon signing up.

To get this thread going again Maybe someone can back me up on this. Do you guys also find it inconvenient to scroll to the bottom just to advance to the next page? I would like to see a "next page button" at the top.

Yes, yes, I also find it inconvenient myself. It's just a design decision at the moment because the pagination looked wierd if put at the top

Yeah a floating bar at the top , i'm all for that.

Also.. when a topic becomes 2 or more pages, when we switch to page 2 it starts us at the bottom of page 2 when it really should auto scroll to the top of the page so we don't have to scroll up manually...

lol, that's why the forum is in Open beta, so I can see what it really needs when it's active. The floating bar might not work currently as there is another floating bar (the navigation menu), but I'll figure something out. Thanks for the feedback

Another thing is a timestamp for posts... It feels like we're nit picking here, but as TinSoldier said, it's the little things that the forum needs.

Whats the profile cover photo size limitations ? , i was attempting to add a 1024x768 photo and i get an error ( something terribly went wrong, refresh the page and try again)  i did twice.. still wont work.

You sure you don't try to cheat my systems again by uploading a gif cover, renamed as png or jpg? Because that has been fixed for covers and avatars. There's no limit in the dimensions of the image, as long as the size is below 2MB.

OK.. it was a size issue, my file is 2.21M..... just over the size allowed..
edited to 1024 x 477 and 1.25M

EDIT it's actually 342K not 1.25 and JPG no renaming involved, still gives the same error

Oh, that's another problem... You should've mentioned that when you try to save after uploading, then you get an error... Will push a patch as soon as possible
