UniGameLauncher is current undergoing a complete rework again (again because this is the second time now) and everything will be changing. I want this Software to feel more along the lines of an Engine rather than what it is right now. So as of v0.2.0 UniGameLauncher will become the UniGameLauncher Engine and updates will stop being "vX.X.X" and change to "UniGameLauncher Engine bXXX" where "b" is the respective build/beta etc. It will include an editor with many features and overall improve your workflow. To be able to see what changes your actually making is just a requirement. If you have any features you want to see now is the time to ask! You can either post them in this board, or use the Forum ( https://community.ghgames.net ) I have setup for UGL on my site. It's nothing compared to this one but has different boards just to keep things tidy and specific. I will keep you posted and release Beta's when I can I will try get a build ready for January 2018

Hey man So I finally got a chance to read thru your site that explains the engine and everything. I'm still not sure on how it is used, do you maybe have a example of the application's use? Can be a YouTube video of a actual game using/doing something similar to what UGL does

I created a tutorial on the current version just after release (available here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y375qa8tEnI) that explains what the Software does and how to create a simplistic launcher. If you still need some more information let me know and I can explain it in more detail

Ahh explained everything perfectly. Well done on the program side of things. It's a neat application! I'm going to be honest here (and correct me if it isn't the case). I can't see people using a launcher for opening games, because that is why you have main menus. On the other hand It is extremely useful for installing games like The Sims, COD series etc. Where they have the install game, launch game an read me file links. For such applications I can see it being very useful. That is my criticism as the game launcher stands in v0.1.1b. let's say you can change resolution or game settings (you would have to implement a script in Unity - for example - to communicate the settings or just use a local file). Because most games these days require you to restart the whole game when you change certain settings. This way you can change them before the game starts. I see a lot of potential for UGL. Oh and kudos on the interface, very easy to navigate and understand. You might want to consider using tooltips instead of help? And the other thing when it comes to the colour settings, is to use "Apply" and a seperate button for "Close" and then "Okay" to do both. So that means once the preview function is enabled people don't have to open and close to see changes. Unless you have live update and then in that case you can use "Cancel" and "Okay".

Hi Andre, lot's of games today use launchers to launch their games and the reasons to why are different for each developer. For example using a launcher might discourage users to go into the games root directory to find the games executable (notice I said "might", there's no guarantee of this). There are lot's and lot's of features that will be coming to UniGameLauncher in future builds and all of them will give the developer that extra chance to make their game unique by providing their customers with a good looking, powerful, lightweight launcher. Development may seem slow but that's because I want to make each build to be as bug free as possible with rich new features. Changing the resolution of a game can be done through UniGameLauncher via a file, like you said, that the game will read from. This feature has not been added yet and won't be for a few builds yet. The Interface has been completely redone in the next version, nothing is the same or even close to the current release. All the dialog errors and mistakes that v0.1.1b includes are gone (to make room for the new bugs right ) Thank you for the feedback Andre

Oh please take your time. You can see that the whole design is well thought out with no feature misplaced or unnecessary. If one's work show quality, people won't mind waiting a bit longer. The best example are GTA 5 and GTA 6. The release of GTA 6 is still a long time away from hitting our shelves, but no one is complaining about the time it takes to develop... as they know it will well worth the wait. Looking forward to see what you implement next!
